CAP's Art Auction & After Party is Portland's premier art event benefiting Cascade AIDS Project. Each year, more than a thousand people come together to help CAP support and empower all people with or affected by HIV, reduce stigma, and provide the LGBTQ+ community with compassionate healthcare.

A regional juried exhibit of work made by artists working in the Pacific Northwest. The call was open to all media and features the best regional artists working in the Pacific Northwest. We are excited to announce that out of 600+ submissions, 55 works were chosen by our juror, Andries Fourie, to form this year’s ArtWorks Northwest exhibit.

Create an acrylic landscape painting combining observation, literary inspirations and collaboration. Explore a variety of acrylic painting techniques as well as concepts such as abstraction, color, composition and atmospheric perspective.

The Graduate School of Education is now opening a few select classes up to the public. This class is designed to help educators nourish, excite, and utilize the power of art in their classroom, while focusing specifically on drawing and painting.

Step into the studio to explore the foundation techniques and processes used to capture the timeless complexities of the human figure through painting. Many exciting experimental approaches will be introduced and sunny outdoor projects as well.

Sitka, Micro to Macro: Large Scale Mixed Media Drawing
Often the area below our feet has just as much life, if not more, than the area above. Using observation skills and a mix of gesso and charcoal, you’ll learn to draw large, texture-rich images that capture Sitka’s tiny ecosystems. Each student will leave with at least two drawings. Dress for weather, there will be some light hiking.
